Hi Shannon,
I am 22 and also have been dealing with anxiety and depression and have asked similar questions.
It's so hard to stop stressing over being overly stressed. It becomes this continuous cycle. Do you feel like the more you notice it the more anxious you get? And then you get fixated on your symptoms? It can be scary when you cannot control your reactions to things.
It sounds like you're basically asking how to derail an anxiety loop? I think just knowing that you are stressing helps, then you can take a step back and try and distract yourself, not get sucked into all these questions until you feel more settled. There's a thread called 'coping strategies' you could check out.
Do you journal or track your mood? I find I am terrible at figuring out how I've generally been feeling over a while. If you don't know what's going on, try tracking your thoughts and mood a couple times a day so you have evidence to back up your instincts, making it more difficult to doubt yourself. I use moodtrack but there's heaps of good ones.
Then you can show your GP/psychologist and ask for their opinion. It can take away a lot of the self-doubt and guilt involved with anxiety/depression.
How long have you been on medication (if you don't mind me asking)? What in particular are you stressing about do you think? We may be able to help.

im 20yrs old and am happy to answer as many questions as you like. Swtpotato here has offered some great advice and suggestions and I dont really have much to add as you havent told us much about yourself.
How do you stop stressing over the fact your stressing...
What is it that your actually stressing over?
In regards to your medication, we cant really offer that sort of advice. Thats best discussed between your gp and yourself or your psychiatrist?
Do you have a psychiatrist? A psychologist?
See your gp regularly?
