Hello Dannyboi, welcome to the site.

Having addictions can be so impulsive and a way to cope with our own anxieties, I've been through myself with alcohol but know it may mean other types that control your life.

Please don't have any fear of replying to us, we only want to listen to what you want to say and offer suggestions on how to help you.

Geoff.

Hi Dannyboi,

Firstly, welcome to the forum and sharing your feelings.

One of the toughest parts of addiction, is asking for help and it’s great that you have identified this and want to help yourself.

One of the ways to receive that help is to reach out to key persons and forums such as BB who will just really listen and provide you with the support and guidance when you need it the most.

When you feel ready to share more please reach out to the forum/group. I have found them to be very open, honest and respectful where you will be able to share your inner thoughts and feelings in a safe environment and without judgement.

In the meantime stay safe and take care.

Hi Dannyboi,

Welcome to the BB forums. There are lots of non-judgemental, supportive people on here to try and help you through. Have you spoken to your GP about the addictions you want to address? Do you have any other professional supports you utilise (e.g. counsellor?) All the best,
