Hi hien1500
Welcome and thanks for your proactive post too! I remember when my girlfriends mum thought I was a pain as well. This is common as our GF's mums are always seeking perfection as you mentioned in your post...yet it doesnt help our self esteem when we are judged by anyone...
Good question hein1500! The forums are national and a safe and non judgmental place for us to post! Thankyou for taking the time to ask us about our day!....Mine has been really good
Really appreciate your proactive post ...Good1
my kind thoughts
Paul

Hello Hein, and welcome to the forums.
As Paul has said these forums are national, that is, Australia when it supports people affected by anxiety, depression and suicide and especially how to maintain our mental health and it takes steps for anyone to recover from mental health conditions with the understanding of those who have or still experiencing their struggles with any type of depression.
As you are 17 years of age, your girlfriend's mother would be frightened for her daughter, not because you necessarily are going out with her, but her daughter is growing up and possibly the link between them is breaking up.
Some parents are protective, and rightly so, but no one can stop them from growing up and wanting their own space to experience the future.
Best wishes.
Geoff.

Hi hien1500, welcome.
The forums is for everyone in Australia, anywhere.
I'm sorry your girlfriends' Mum doesn't like you, as you said she's being protective but I hope she likes you eventually. I'm sure you're a good boyfriend, you seem nice.
That's good that you have a positive attitude and motivation to feel better, good on you.
