Struggling

Hey All,

Another avenue for me to vent I guess. I am getting sick of being the peacemaker in the family - trying to knit together everyone. I try to talk and I get the feeling that no one listens - they certainly don't understand I am ex-mill and had some losses along the way. 1 in particular I guess I am directly responsible for - we swapped op's.

I am tired, so tired o trying to keep people happy while ignoring me - have done it for I guess 35 years now. Always the servant. Moved in with the folks to help look after them, still paying bills and rent on my old place. Just at an impasse.

Hello Udune, welcome to the site.

This particular loss you have experienced may have been the point that broke you and if so, I'm really sorry.

It's good to help other people but there does come a time when we, ourselves need their help in return and if this doesn't happen we wonder who these people are we they our friends at all.

The bills at your old place, can they be paid off in stages, and looking after your parents is not an easy job but would love to hear back from you.

Welcome to the Beyond Blue forums and thank you for being so open here. It seems like you are dealing with a lot of burdens. You are so strong for that.

Have you considered seeing a mental health professional? Talking to someone can help release the burdens and can make you feel a lot better.
