Hi,
I have just joined and wanted to say hi.
I've been in a really good place for about 2 years but the last month has been really hard. Struggling to find any motivation and to get out of bed. Today I spent all day in bed. Really bad as I'm usually a really active person. I'm hoping to do some reading on this website to get some tips and advice I can hopefully use.
Thanks for reading!

Hello, and welcome to the forum!
It's a shame that you have regressed recently, after two great years. However, this isn't uncommon, and you can improve again and experience more good periods 🙂 Have you been diagnosed with depression by your GP? I'm asking because some people actually try to self-diagnose or don't get a formal diagnosis by their doctor. Going to your GP to talk about this relapse in your mental health is important. You have a good attitude - this site has some very helpful threads. You should find some good advice and tips in the Depression section, and even in a few other sections too!
Best wishes,
SM

Hi 4321 and welcome
That feeling of staying in bed after being active until this period. For posting you have already started to make progress. Do you have a GP that you are comfortable with? She/he would be an excellent starting point and at least you can get face to face support on this matter.
There are many very kind people on BB. You are more than welcome to get back to us whenever you wish 4321
Kind Thoughts
Paul

Can I ask you if you have done the K-10 test again, and I only say this as it could give you an intercation on how you
feel by seeing what score you get, however it's no positive proof until you see your Gp.
Sometime in your life has either changed or something awful has now put you back into feeling this way.
There is a great deal of information on the site to read, but why don't you click onto 'Get Support' on the top of this
page and then scroll down to 'Information Resourses' and order 'All the Printed Material' from BB, it's all free but it
has a great deal of knowledge which may concern you.
We would also really love to hear back from you. Geoff.

Hello,
Thank you all for your kind words and advice. Yes, my former GP has diagnosed me with depression although I have moved towns and haven't found a GP I "connect" with now other than just to ask for a script. I have started reading all the support information on this website and it has started making me feel a bit better just knowing I'm not the only one feeling like this. I will keep reading!
Thanks.

Hey 4321
That was kind of you to respond...
Even though you dont have a GP that you are 'comfortable' with is okay....When its convenient just slowly get to know one....they have a 'duty of care' and hopefully you will be comfortable in 'venting' to her/him
It would be great to here from you 4321 if you wish to of course..:-)
Here for you (we are sufferers too but here to help others 4321)
Kind Thoughts
Paul
