Hi I’m super new to this whole thing so don’t actually know what to say haha
I think I have some form of depression but i’m really unsure and don’t know what to do. Lately I’ve been sad and angry, all the time. I have lots of resent towards people and I can’t seem to shake the feeling of being worthless. Is this a thing that others feel too? I’m just here for some answers and maybe some advice.
I’ve been with my partner for 6 years and we are great, but lately I’ve been turning away from him because I feel guilty for my negative thoughts and uncontrollable sad feelings.
Thanks in advance for the support 🙂

Hello BeCool97, can I offer you a warm
You have come to a site where all of us have been through our own type of depression which may begin slowly but then deepens as time progresses.
Your resentment towards other people is your depression making you feel this way, it starts off by making you have negative thoughts and may affect your relationship, this is normally what happens, not in the true sense, but in terms of what depression will do to someone, and you don't know how sorry I feel for you.
Can I suggest you see your doctor for a diagnosis then they may want to prescribe medication and refer to a
This can be achieved on a 'mental health plan' which entitles you to 10 free sessions per year.
When you feel up to it you can get back to us and tell us a little more, only in your time.
Best wishes.

Hey BeCool97,
I just stumbled across your post and I hope you're still with us! I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to the forums.
Even though we can't make a diagnosis here, what you're feeling is completely normal for depression. I have it and I'm all too familiar with the negative thoughts, the sad feelings and feeling of being worthless.
I don't really know much about you or your situation so I don't really want to fish out advice or support you might have heard before, but I think the most important thing is to validate it. What you're feeling is normal and nothing to be ashamed of. You don't need to be guilty because what you're feeling isn't your fault. You're in good company here so hopefully we'll see you again.
