I don't know what I'm doing with my life, I'm 24 years old and have no fucking clue
I don't know how to... To... find the willpower to do anything worthwhile, anything that could build me up.
I just need to know how to life with myself, even if I hate that person.

The warmest of welcomes to you at such an incredibly challenging time in your life.
From my own experience, I think life would be a little easier if someone had told me from the beginning 'There are many different facets to you. Some have already come to life, some you might have to bring back to life and some are yet to come to life (you'll meet with those ones in the future, down the track)'. To add to that 'With some aspects, it pays to have someone who knows how to lead you to connect with them in ways that work or are relatable'.
With the 'different facets or aspects of self' take on things, I've found a number of people (myself included) who love certain facets of themself yet can't stand other aspects that they find themself living with. While the pessimist, the critic and the hopeless aspects of ourself can be hard to live with, they can also become depressing. On the other hand, if there's an adventurer in us, an aspect of us that loves to wonder and research and a facet of ourself which is longing to express some form of creativity/invention, these parts may require extra mental and/or physical energy. Without the energy they can struggle to come to life.
With some things, not all, I find it can be more about generating energy more than will power. Do you feel you just don't have a lot of energy right now? If this is the case, do you have any ideas as to why? Could blood tests be revealing or perhaps could the issue be with a lack of quality sleep or maybe a lack of the kinds of people in life who are able to energise/inspire/support/guide you, especially at this time? What do you feel is lacking, more than anything else? Could it perhaps be about being in the habit of doing stuff that doesn't promote a lot of energy and now it's become a struggle to get out of that habit or those habits? I know, I do tend to ask a lot of questions. The quest for change, for some form of evolution or progress, tends to come with a lot of questions. If you're questioning, you're on the right path.

hello and Welcome.
It’s okay not to have it all figured out.I have to kids around the same age as you... and through their teem years (and now) is to do something that are passionate about. If you don't mind my asking, what sort of things interest you? Or used to?
If if there is nothing... be kind to yourself, start small, and take it one step at a time.
And if you want to, share a little more of your story?

Hey there,
Thank you so much for reaching out, and welcome to our forums, I hope you can find some comfort here. I'm so sorry to hear that you're struggling. I'm also in my early twenties, and it's just so hard to figure out where you want to go and who you want to be in the world when everyone at this age is at a different stage of development.
I'll pose a few questions that you don't necessarily have to answer here, but they could be things to think about. These are the questions I come back to whenever I'm struggling with my purpose in a career sense:
- What did I see myself doing when I was younger (child, teenager)?
- What things do I enjoy doing in general? (Hobbies, sports, socialising, talking, writing, things around the house, cooking, etc.)
- Out of those, what things am I good at doing?
- What jobs or activities have I enjoyed doing throughout my life?
- What subjects did I like, if any, in school?
- Are there any jobs or life paths that others around me are taking that I could see myself doing?
I've written these on the assumption that career choice may be playing into your feelings, but if these thoughts are more related to yourself and your identity, the following may be more useful to consider:
- What are three (or more) things I like about myself?
- Is there anything that I wanted to achieve when I was younger that I've never gotten the chance to pursue?
- If money was no object, what would I currently be doing?
- What makes me happiest in life? (Socialising, travel, meeting new people, study, working, etc.)
- I am happiest when doing _____
I hope something in my words resonates with you, but feel free to keep chatting if you have more to share or ask, we're here to support you as best as we can.
Take care, SB
