Hello Chellie, and welcome to the BB forums.
Absolutely, however, people are all different and react to how they are feeling and may experience anxiety and depression long before they are alone or perhaps something has triggered them to feel this way.
There could be a situation where your sitting alone and feeling blank or numb, your mind can't generate any thought, but then suddenly and for no specific reason a thought comes to you which then creates anxiety and increases your depression while you're by yourself.
Anxiety is frustrating when it comes out of nowhere, for no reason and is certainly a scary feeling, wondering whether or not it can be explained or whether someone is able to understand this feeling, especially when they aren't suffering are feeling the same.
You are with friends who have had to encounter this themselves and know exactly what you're saying.
Pease when you feel able to, it would be great to hear back from you.
Geoff.
