Hey everyone,
I'm a 19 year old male and I have been dealing with anxiety and depression for a couple years now but I think has gotten worse over the past say 9-10 months and I haven't spoken to anyone on the phone or even left my front yard and it has been becoming debilitating to the point I can't visit my doctors very often, and was wondering if any of you out there's could help me with a few coping strategies.
Thanks, TP.

Hi TP,
I'm also pretty new to this, I've also had anxiety and depression for the past 3 years and only came forward to talk about it in the past couple of months. I'm only 17 so I'm still trying to figure out my own coping mechanisms, but maybe if you could elaborate a little more on how you're feeling I could try to help?
Please feel free to express what's been bothering you, the people on here are really welcoming and helpful.
I hope to hear from you soon,
Julia

Is it possible to have someone you feel you can trust to go with you to the doctors I think is so important for you to begin treatment, I know you maybe frightened like hell and I understand this totally, that's why we want to help you.
If you need to ring your doctor then they might do a house call, but I believe you really need to talk with a psychologist, I'm really sorry to mention this, but please keep on talking with us, that's what we would really like. Geoff.
