Hi everyone,
I'm new onto this forum and have only just registered with BB online. Cannot describe on here how I really feel, not sure what to say. Feel alone, hopeless, I don't feel like myself. I know there are things going on in my life that may have triggered this, but I've never felt like strange before. Will talk to someone on the online chat maybe, don't want to say too much here.
😞 need to talk though, with people who are not friends or family.

Hello Katash, welcome and I know that it may feel as though you are alone but there are many people who have suffered their own type of depression, and it does take us quite a while to feel comfortable in opening up, so please take your time, remember we are here to help you.
These triggers can be a real problem if you don't know how to cope with them and by talking with us, we don't know who you are, what you look like or where you live so please it would be great to hear back from you, just a little bit is all you need to say.
Best wishes.
Geoff.

Hey Katash,
Welcome to the forums and thank you for posting and sharing a bit about yourself and your situation with us. You will find these forums as a loving and caring place where you will not be judged and your concerns will be taken seriously. Feel free to post as much or as little as you feel comfortable doing so.
As Geoff mentioned, you are not obligated to tell us how you feel, just know people on BB are here for you. I can relate to much of what you are going through in terms of feeling alone, hopeless and not feeling like myself. These are very common and normal feelings most people on these forums have experienced at one stage or another so please don't be to hard on yourself.
Talking to complete strangers is often a good first step in expressing your feelings as it can be quite uncomfortable to express your emotions to friends or family members. Someone listening and providing support to you with a neutral standpoint can often be extremely beneficial.
Things to get better Katash and it often takes a long time, but they do! I can tell you are extremely strong, resilient, intelligent and thoughtful and these are great qualities you possess!
I would consider contacting the following services as long as you feel comfortable doing so:
1 - Headspace (if your aged between 12 and 25)
2 - Lifeline 13 11 14
3 - Your General Practitioner (let them know how your feeling so you can discuss the possibility of being referred to a psychologist or begin medication if appropriate)
4 - MindSpot Clinic 1800 61 44 34
Hope this helps and look forward to hearing back from you shortly.
All the best Katash.
Nick.
