I’ve joined the forum tonight. Hoping it helps me with my mental health. I’ve named myself G_S which represents getting stronger. That’s my intention. Getting stronger and maybe being compassionate and helpful to others in the process.

Hello G_S & welcom.
Looking around the forum, I'm sure you will find people who you can relate to, perhaps sharing some of your experience & will find ways to encourage & support others, & likewise, feel supported & encouraged by others here. That's what we try to do.
Compassion comes from being able to see another's perspective, to realise the similarities amongst us all who are individually different people, each with our own past & experiences of life & the world we are in. Being supportive of others, with compassion & respect is a worthy aspiration, as is personally feeling stronger.
I think that means, (please, if I'm wrong, tell me), you want to feel more resilient, less vulnerable, like you can face anything life throws at you & maybe learn to be more assertive, to have confidence in your own self to cope with life. These are the things that I think of when I think of 'getting stronger', as well as building some muscle so I can feel I could physically defend myself, if I ever have to again.

Yes that’s exactly what I mean when I say getting stronger. I’ve got to believe that choosing to talk about how I feel is part of the getting stronger process. I just feel so stupid that I can’t snap out of a mood and I can’t be better at thinking more confidently.
something I tell myself is even lions get tired.
I’m just going to take a few minutes and breathe and rest. I think I just needed to get to that place in my mind.
