Hi Lonely Geek
Welcome to the bb forum and thanks for sharing a bit about yourself. I'm sorry that you find yourself with limited social connections and anxiety.
Unfortunately loneliness is very common in our society and here amongst members on the forum. Good on you for joining clubs and taking classes, it really is a smart way to meet like minded people with shared intetests. It takes time, so don't give up.
Volunteer work is also a good way to meet new people. If you are in the workplace it's also possible that you may form a meaningful connection with a colleague.
I'm wondering if you have any support in your battle with anxiety? There is lots of self-help type information on the bb website and talking with your GP can really help. With the right treatment, most people do recover.
I hope you stick around and enjoy meeting people here.
