Hi EMLeigh

Welcome to the forums, we appreciate you taking the time to post. We are caring, non-judgemental space where you can find community, general advice and support from other people who have gone through similar situations to you.

It seems like you are after a new start as soon as possible, and looking to separate from your long time partner? And you want to also make sure you are financially secure? Selling things can be useful here, for sure. Do you want to use this thread to elaborate on your situation some more? What lead you to this decision of separating? Its completely up to you to tell us what you like- there is no pressure either way. We are here to listen and help as best we can.

Sending kindness,

Tay100

HI EMLeigh

welcome to the forum,

I am around your age and for different reasons have had to me and have a new life with my partner.

For whatever reason change at our age can be hard.

It sounds like although you have decided on a new life because it is complex you are unsure where to start.

Maybe talking to someone may help . It is up to you. If you want to talk some more here we are listening.

.As Tay said the forum is friendly . Thanks again for reaching out.

Hi EMLeigh,

Welcome to BB.

Can I ask does your partner know you want to live a seperate life and is supportive of this? I'm only asking as it could be easier to sell things and they might be able to help you with this.

It would be very daunting starting a new life but I commend you for wanting/ needing a fresh start as I'm sure you have good reasons.

I've started over again many times. I've also had to sell things which isn't always easy but for the best.

We are here to support you.
