Hi, I'm Amy I'm a 20 year old trans-gendered female.

I've been on hormones for 2 months, and I'm doing okay.

Job Wise, I'm beyond stressed because I cannot find a job in my city anyway, I've been looking for years 😞

Hi 😊

Glad you're goin ok on hormones

It is stressful not working, what do you do?

How's your life otherwise,friends, family

Do you hav things that keep you occupied

Not much, just sit around all day hoping I get a job from the 100+ resumes I send out.

Parents don't know about the hormones, and it's best if they don't, I Don't live in a good situation.

Friends, I Don't have any. since finishing high school I've been quite lonely.

Nope not really, I'm bored to death most of the time 😞

Hi Amy and welcome 😊

It can be a bit soul destroying looking for work, my sympathy 😞

Do you live in a place where there might be some social groups for trans-gender people? Not that I want to put you in a box, but friends who understand what you’re going through can be the bestest for support, especially if your family situation isn’t giving you any.

If you go to the front page of the forums, there is a thread in the social area - google transcendent rainbow cafe - for LBGTi members, would be a good place for social chat.

When I was unemployed, I found volunteering one of the best ways to make a connection towards employment and making friends who were like minded. What sort of work are you hoping to find?

Do you have the energy to think about TAFE or Uni? Because now is the right time of year to be making plans for next year.

I’d like to hear how you’re going and I’d like to hear that you’ve visited the Rainbow Cafe 😊 best, cheers M 🙂

Yeah it's easy to not do stuff aye i was thinking too as Mathy (hey Maths 😊) suggested maybe there's somewhere at home you could go out to

Are you depressed?

Loneliness is awful, cruel very misunderstood.

Very good idea again from our good Mathy you could visit the cafe here as well as your thread so at least some new virtual but real people in your life & something new to do, talking to others

I walk most days usually see people i know but if not ok cause a quick hi smile sometimes chat but good being out amongst it

Good you came back ☺

hi Amy, instead of staying at home and being bored, have you tried any voluntary work, because boredom only creates many other problems. Geoff.
