Hello Hot Lips

Welcome to the forums. If you are feeling you need to talk to someone right now, please try one of these numbers.

Beyond Blue 1300 22 4636 available 24/7

Lifeline 13 11 14 available 24/7

Suicide Callback Service 1300 224 636 available 24/7

All of the people answering the phone will be able to talk to you and help you. You sound so distressed I am concerned.

Can you tell us a little more about yourself? I see you are meeting with a counsellor which is great. You can write in here as often as you need and someone will reply. We are not an emergency service and your post may not be answered for several hours. So when you are feeling very upset, try one of the numbers above.

When you feel a little better perhaps you will talk to us some more.

Hot Lips, as Mary has said above, please ring the beyondblue helpline if you are feeling that you really need to talk. If you feel that you are heading into or are in crises, do not hesitate to ring 000.

I really like how you have come onto here and posted. The forums are a very caring and protective place so please any time that you need to, please post and you will have someone return pretty quickly. The forums are filled with people with lived experience of mental health conditions so i hope you understand when I say that you are not alone, not whatsoever.

Mark.

Dear Hot Lips~

I saw your previous post, about 2 weeks ago I think, in which you said you were having difficulties contacting your councilor between sessions. This is a very common problem with many people left feeling stranded and alone.

Mary has listed some numbers you can call anytime, all are manned by professional caring people that can give advice. Ringing is no big deal, it is expected.

Because this looks like it is a recurring problem you are unfortunately stuck with is there any form of alternative steps you can take in your councilor's absence? For example is there a member of your family or a friend you can talk to, who cares and would want to help?

Mary also asked if you would like to say more about yourself, this allows us to give better advice, rather than just the more general stuff.

As Mary says we can sometimes take a while replying however you can talk here as often as you'd like, and will always be met with care and understanding
