HI Sally. Welcome to the BB forums

For some people sarcasm is a way for people to cope. I know I have done so at some stages. Just be warry it is hard to convay online so if you ever want to do so online please put in brakets (sarcasm). I am also a 'Sheldon' when it comes to sarcasm so people need to make it obvious for me. LOL

I'm sorry your depression has hit a low point. It can be hard to see the light and to see end of all this horriblness. Are you seeing someone about your depression and anxiety? I know may people on here want to walk on the forums before approaching a doctor or reach out to anyone in their personal lives. If you aren't I suggest you talk to your doctor and getting support from them as well. I wish I did it earlier. I feel way better than I did this time last year (like a different person)

So is there anything in particular you would like to talk about Sally?

Steph

P.s I am also friendly and won't bite... much (sarcasm, did I get it right?)

Hi Sally,

Firstly, Welcome to the forums.

Steph had a great post above and I just wanted to reach out and say hello. I suffer from anxiety and know what it's like having down days, especially a few in a row. Best way and i say to everyone.. for every down day, there is an up day... it's just how we come out of the down days set us up for an up day or a good day. I like the fact you said you try to keep positive... that is a great character trait to have.. I try and stay positive myself... I don't use sarcasm as a coping mechanism, although i use laughter and trying to make people laugh as my coping mechanism. As Steph said... if there is anything you wish to talk about, feel free too... I haven't met anyone on here who bites hehe

My best for you,

Jay

Hi Sally,

Here's a 3rd welcome! I see Steph (Ms Purple) and Jay (BballJ) have both written some really supportive messages 😊

I LOVE sarcasm (probably a bit too much) although I keep it to a bare minimum on the forums just because things can get a bit lost in translation in written form ha, ha.

I also LOVE people with a searing wit as one of my best friends (offline life) is incredibly witty and has us all in stitches whenever she's around.

Hope you feel connected and supported here.

hi Sally, that has always been one of my favourite names, but when you are feeling you don't care at all.
This is a friendly anonymous site where all kinds of people post their concerns, and I certainly can't bite through the computer, I don't think it's possible at the moment, so you're safe.
Sarcasm can be used by people but it tends to back fire on them as they lose contact with the people they used to associate with, however those people who are in charge of a group will use it whenever they want to, just so they can show their dominance and for everybody to follow their rules, but when you do have depression and anxiety you couldn't care a less about this control because you retreat into your own black hole.
Your good days will fade away when depression takes over, however there maybe some days where you might be enjoying yourself but it doesn't last long, depression will once again consume you.
We would love to hear back from you whenever you feel as though you want. Geoff. x
