Hi Everyone!

I've been navigating my way around the forums and thought I would officially introduce myself! My name is Sammy and I am an almost-30-year-old woman. Engaging in work that involves supporting others, I was amazed once coming across this online community by how this forum has fostered such a safe space where people can be heard and supported without any judgement.

I have found my passion for supporting others through my own journey with anxiety and depression. And, I am grateful in saying that my mental health conditions no longer have control of how I navigate the world, although I still have my moments, and that is ok. So I'll be here, to listen and offer support wherever I can. I see healing as an ongoing process in which sharing our unique experiences can offer valuable knowledge and guidance to each of us, regardless of where we may be in our journey.

Look forward to connecting with you!

Welcome SammyB.....you sound such a caring genuine person that I will probably need your support and kindness one day....so I hope you can find me when I reach out.

I don't think I post on my thread often enough....I don't think all that many folk know I am here.....the ones who do are wonderful to me...I don't know what I would do without my fantastic Forum friends.....so hoping you find it as comforting as I have...and maybe we can connect further... Moon S

Hi to all! I appreciate the warm welcome 🙂

Quirky,

You are right in saying that it has been a long way to get where I am now. But with adversity comes strength am I right?!

I appreciate you taking the time to introduce yourself. I have read a few threads and have seen how dedicated yourself and other Community Champions are to ensuring new members feel apart of this online community. Thanks again for stopping by.

Moonstruck,

Thank you for your kind words, I'll be happy to listen in those tough times, or any time when you may just need a space to talk. As quirky said, we can all support each other.

In regards to whether you are posting 'enough', I would say reach out when you can and feel well enough to. I wouldn't put too much pressure on yourself to post more unless you feel like it is what's needed for your well-being.

And I'm sure with a community this large it can be hard to feel noticed or heard at times but it's great to see that you have made valuable friendships and I'm sure you will continue to make more. I'll be around!

Grandy,

It's great to hear that you consider this community to be your forum family, you clearly make it feel like one! Thanks you for your positive words, I'm sure there is a lot to learn from you and your journey. Congrats on being a valued contributor! I appreciate you reaching out to me.

Take care everyone.
