Hey Everyone
new to beyond blue, as of late Iβve been feeling a little lost in life, I feel like I have no one that I can talk to or connect with.
I donβt have any family that I can talk to & though my friends are great I just feel that I cant express my true feelings & emotions with them. So thought Iβd give this a try.
hope everyone has a great day.

Hello Gaz, when people become depressed from any type of this illness, normally very few people want to discuss the problems with you, only because they don't want to get involved, and also many of these friends/family just disappear to avoid trying to help you.
This has happened with the majority of people on this site, including me, and it's sad because we have done everything possible to help them, but it's not reciprocated and does make our situation worse.
I am sorry for you but please get back to us.
Geoff.

Hi Gaz,
I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling lost and disconnected. But you are not alone, many of us feel this way sometimes in our lives. Coming here to seek help is a great move, if you search in the forum, you will find that there are similar posts by other people, and there are already some good suggestions.
You can also consider joining local clubs or social groups that align with your interests. This can be a great way to meet new people and create connections with those who share your passions. You may find some clubs or groups you're interested in your local community centre or library. You can also explore in 'Facebook Groups', 'Websites like Meetup (https://www.meetup.com/) can also help you find groups in your area. Engaging in activities you enjoy can also improve your mood and overall well-being.
In addition, it's important to practice self-care. Make sure you're getting enough sleep, eating well, and exercising regularly. Mindfulness and meditation can also help you manage stress and improve your emotional well-being. Apps like Headspace (https://www.headspace.com/) and Calm (https://www.calm.com/) offer guided meditations and other resources to help you develop a mindfulness practice.
Hope it helps a bit.

Hi Gaz,
I hope you have started to feel like you've reached out to the right place. The community here is a gem and I'm sure you know that you have a safe and welcoming space to express your true feelings.
Feeling lost in life has many twists and turns to it. You might feel a little alone and like you just can't see forward past the current moment, or maybe your not even in the moment. Your emotions could be churning like a hurricane or you might just feel numb, a little confused and scared.
I recommend that no matter the circumstances, you continue to prioritise yourself and just give yourself some time. You don't need all the answers right now so just take a moment to care for yourself.
I hope you have a wonderful day because I genuinely want you to have a good day,
Yours_truly

Hi there Gaz
I'd like to first point out you're certainly not alone. Many of us either don't have that support around us or, we don't quite know how to talk about our feelings. Often times we ourselves don't even know truly whats going on, or, probably more accurately, where to even start.
I can assure you this is a great place to start and we are all ears. π
