Not sure which section to post in. Finding my way around this site is one big confusion. Not the sites fault as this is how I am feeling at present. Confused, foggy, tired, mentally and physically exhausted, depressed, anxious the list goes on.

im a 54 year old man. Diagnosed with depression over 30 years ago and recently rediagnosed with bipolar type 2, generalised anxiety disorder and BPD. For 30 years I’ve been seeking treatment and medicated but NOTHING ever seems to work. Does anyone ever feel so exhausted from trying to work on yourself and better yourself?

Thanks for listening.

Welcome MrBP,

Well done for starting a thread. It can be confusing at times but you have posted your story.

You have certainly have been dealing with several diagnoses recently. I have one of those , bipolar, I find that enough to cope with.

No wonder you feel exhausted from trying to better yourself.

I am interested in what help you are getting so you can live with your multiple diagnosis.

I find writing down thoughts in a journal helps me to work out things when I am confused.

Have a look at different threads, they are in different sections , and if you may find topics of interest.

Also there is a thread called This bipolar life you are welcome to come and read and post if you want. The very first post on the thread is very helpful.

If you want to tell us more about what is making you exhausted and what is or is not working for you, that would help us to know more about you.

I regularly feel exhausted from working on myself. I take this as being a positive sign rather than a negative one. I find it is important to reward yourself when you get to this point. That might be something as simple as watching your favorite television show, enjoying a nice meal, relaxing for an evening, etc. Take the time to accept that you get that way because you are working on yourself and at the end of the day, that's winning!
