..Hi there
Long time sufferer, first time , hmmmm, member
My "Black dog" voice visited me again tonight, geez, thought I had that blaggard on a tight lease and walking to heel!
Yet ~6 years after last encounter with the brute and you can easily forget how devious he can be
And absolutely no idea how he came to be dragging me once more by the leash and leading me into those dark, dismal corridors of uncertainty
.. I know better !

Hi Shazgor,
Firstly, welcome to the forums.
Wow, what a way to describe it, you could feel it in your words and it makes a lot of sense too... funny thing about mental health is it seems when you have it totally under control and as you said heeling beside you... it rears it's ugly head and makes it self known.
May I ask what has caused your mental health concerns? You don't have to go into it but we can help give advice if we know a little more about you.
My best for you,
Jay

HI Jay
Really appreciate the quick reply.
As to what caused the olde dog (sic) to yank the leash once again.. I'm still trying to work the out..
Seems to be an innocuous combination of normal day to day events ?!?
Which seems trivial compared to other sufferers major strifes. just bizarre to now "calmly"reflect upon how
small a trigger it may be to go from light to shade

Having a relapse can always happen, it has for me many times, maybe there was a reason, maybe there wasn't one that we knew about, so now the collar is around you being pulled in every direction, even dragged along the ground only to make you feel miserable.
Of
Can you remember how you were able to overcome it last time, because for me when it happens, I know that it will only be for a short time, and once you can accept this then it will pass, let it have it's time although it's not pleasant, but to know that it will go is by having the strength that has been with you for the last 6 years.
Once you are able to overcome this relapse, you would learn another important lesson from it, one that will help you. Geoff.

Hi Shazgor,
Thanks for the reply, I must say it does seem to yank the lease when we least expect it, which is the worst part about it especially when things seem under control. I don't think your strifes are any different to other people's strifes per say, everyone just has things that affect them differently. I'm glad others have posted as well.
Please keep posting back so we can talk and try to help as best we can.
My best,
Jay

Mmmm I'm loving the poetry - the black dog is a mongrel, but looking on the positive side as we are encouraged to do... art, poetry, literature, film... life's rich tapestry etc, etc...
Hope you're rising above the gloom n doom and powering on!! Lana xo

Hi Shazgor,
That's great you are feeling better.. remember every down turn where the "dog" comes out of the kennel is chance to teach it some more how to go back and stay there... you learn how to control it more.
My best,
Jay
