Hello, I'm new :)

Hello, the introduction page said to introduce myself so here it is!

I am a 17-year-old female and I have ADHD, a 13 session a week training schedule for volleyball and not great family relationships. I think I am here for support, advice and to maybe help others.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Hello Megss, and a warm welcome to to the forums.

Sometimes it's not easy to begin a new thread, only because you may fear what type of reaction you'll get, but remember that all of us have had to struggle through our own type of depression and know how you are feeling and thanks for typing a short comment to begin with.

It's lovely for you to offer your help and I'm sure what you have been through will definitely be of assistance for many other people who may be only reading the comments made or those who are regularly involved on the site.

The 13 week session for volleyball is quite extensive and I wonder whether this helps you or whether it's too demanding, although sport may be able to alleviate the daily struggles.

Hope to hear back from you.

Geoff.

Hi Geoff,

Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate the welcome.

I really enjoy volleyball but it is definitely too much with the last year of school and balance is tough.

Hi Blake, thanks for replying. I think mostly just dealing with stress, tougher times and balance would be the key areas. What about you?

Hello Megss, thanks for getting back to us, and please use the forums as a way where you can release any pressure you may be experiencing as there will always be someone who wants to reply back to you and understand that being in the position you are in at the moment there could be many different issues that challenge yourself.

Sometimes people are afraid to open up and that's quite understandable, so they only talk in a casual way, until they develop some confidence.

Can I ask what you are studying in year 12 and your ambitions to become someone when finished?

Take care.

Geoff.

Hello Megss, thanks, and all of these subjects have many different openings for you which is very sensible, but how you are coping with the ADHD which can certainly be a hindrance in studying but I wonder whether the volleyball helps you.

I say this as I have OCD and playing sport helped me a great deal, but understand everyone is different.

Take care.

Geoff.
