So nice to be here. I'm currently dealing with Depression. It would be nice to talk to someone about it.

I find it difficult to get out of bed. I lie down everyday. I never go out. I have no confidence and no ssupport. I'm alone every day and I find it hard to do anything.

The only people who know about this are my family... And all they tell me to do is Apply for a Disability Payment through Centre link.

I find it hard to get the energy to live a normal life.

I've been given Phycologists and psychiatrists numbers but After a while they Dont seem to help and there helping methods Dont make a difference.

I lost the love of my life due to Depression. He picked on me and tormented me which I thought wasnt nice.

I find it hard to deal with it.

Thankyou

Hello Justme

Welcome to the forums and good on you for having the courage to post too!

You are not alone here in any way. I understand your pain as this is my 21st year with this condition.

You have done well by seeing the counselors. That in itself takes a lot of strength to do.

The good news....Depression and its symptoms do decrease over time

Can I ask how frequently you have had seen your psychologists? (If thats okay of course)

You dont have to suffer depression on your own Justme. I really hope you let us help you find the light and peace you need.

you are not alone here Justme. I really like your first few words "So nice to be here"

Im Paul and its good to meet you. There are many gentle people on the forums that can be here for you 🙂

I really hope you can post back.....even if you just want a chat

my kind thoughts for you

Paul

hello Just me, I'm sorry that you have lost the love of your life, but when you suffer from depression it changes peoples personality, their attitude towards life and who they want to see, and mostly it's nobody.
Applying for a DSP pension isn't going to make your life any easier, financially maybe, but that's not everything when depression comes knocking on your door, because it makes all your negative thoughts to continually annoy you, and these are what stops you from even beginning to enjoy your life.
It's difficult to try and repair your life when you have lost 'the love of your life', and can not understand why he suddenly developed depression, and why he would take it out on you, changing from a loving man to someone who you don't really know.
This is the hurdle you are trying to get over, and perhaps these psych's you have visited haven't been able to hit the exact point you have been trying to explain to them, so are you able to approach it from another angle so that they will know the problem, because sometimes we are too afraid to let anybody know. Geoff.
