Hello Sam, can I firstly say I'm sorry for how you are feeling, but your happy funny and bubbly personality has only been pushed aside temporarily, you still have it, but it's been hidden away by how you are feeling so that's
There are a couple of things I can suggest, browse through the sections on 'All Posts' there
Then click on 'The Facts' and scroll down until you see 'Anxiety and depression Checklist K-10', try and complete the test several times, but not one straight after another, different times and days, and now the important part is to book an appointment with your doctor, maybe a double appt.
If you can write down on a piece of paper what is struggling you, how you feel when you wake up, your energy level and the arguments you have with your partner.
If you want to keep this to yourself then hide it, or instead involve your partner, try and photocopy it so you can give a copy to the doctor and if they refer you onto a psychologist then give them one as well.
Ask your doctor about the 'mental health plan' where you are entitled to receive a Medicare rebate -up to 10 sessions per year to see a psych.
Other places to ring if need be are:
Lifeline on 13 11 14
Kids Helpline on 1800 551 800
MensLine Australia on 1300 789 978
Suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467
Beyond Blue on 1300 22 46 36
Headspace on 1800 650 890
QLife on 1800 184 527
All the people on this site have gone through their own type of depression and only want to help you, and there is no criticism at all.
Hope this does help you but would also like to hear back from you.
Best wishes.
Geoff.
