Hi,
New to the board. I have depression and anxiety and have just lost my mother due to suicide. I found her in the morning, she lived with me. Ive had depression for 23 years of my 43 years of life and need help. I am wanting to book myself into a treatment center, preferably private and that would be covered mostly by private health. Any advice would be appreciated. Willing to travel anywhere within Australia.
Thanks

Hi there Needachange
Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your mother. I couldn't imagine how you are feeling or coping at this time. I truly hope that you've got some support mechanisms in place and that there are people (family, friends) who you can reach out to for support.
I do also hope that in the time since you've posted this, that there has been some "behind the scenes" contact made to you with regard to finding a suitable treatment centre?
If you're still here and reading, the number at the top of each page of Beyond Blue (1300 22 4636) would be a good one to phone and they may be able to provide you with the kind of information that will help you.
And if you're able to and would like to, then please come back here and post again.
Kind regards
Neil
