Hi,

Are you able to talk with your GP about your medication?

My dad, in his late 70s has been on one medication for many years. He recently went back to his GP for the same reason you are writing about here.

I still see a psychiatrist and each time we catch up we talk about the effectiveness of the medication.

It is not ideal when the medication that used to work, stops functioning as expected.

My psychiatrist also says that medication goes hand in hand with talk therapy. Which I do.

But it can still be a struggle.

Talk to your Psychiatrist.
Depression meds can definitely stop working or work less over time. I was comfortable on mine for probably 8 years and then it just really didn't work anymore. Remember changing medication can be hard.
