Hi again everyone. After my DSP assessment at Centrelink on Monday, I've now been booked in for a Disability Medical Assessment, is this a good thing or bad thing?. The assessment is with the government-contracted Doctor (Sonic Health Plus) this time being a clinical psychologist. I'm a bit stressing out again and worried as i was before the last assessment but hoping this assessment will go okay and be the last one i have to go through. If anyone has more advice or help what to expect at this next stage of the DSP application be much appreciated. Thank u in advance.

Hello Pad, can I offer a warm welcome to the
The Government Doctor will assess your medical evidence and this time a psychologist and what you need to take:
- your driver licence or Australian Passport
-aids, equipment or assistive technology you use
-and a relative, friend or an advocate for support and more specifically all the medical reports from your doctor.
The government need to do this and as frightening as it is it has to be done.
They will assess any depression, anxiety or
They will know you will be agitated, and the best but please let us know.
Geoff.

Thanks Geoff for your helpful advice. I'm going to have try not to get too worked in the next couple of weeks before the assessment. Ill try to look at it as a positive thing having gotten this far in the process. Yes i have found the forums and its members very welcoming and helpful. 🙂

Hi Pad, I have been advised I will be soon notified of the date for a job capacity and medical assessment for the DSP. I was wondering how yours went and how long did it take for the reports to come through? Thanks.
