Hey, this is my first time here and Im really just after some info.
A close friend of mine is having a real tough time at the moment coping with the trauma of sexual abuse as a kid. Shes mentioned feeling like she needs to speak to someone and even stated that shes considered being on medication but obviously all of these things cost money.
Can anyone lend a hand in any pathways for her to take?

Hi lupedelupe,
beyondblue are not experts in this area, but there are already organisations working at a very high level on this: including ASCA (Adults Surviving Child Abuse), which is working to support survivors of child abuse who wish to engage with the Royal Commission. ASCA have their own helpline, a membership, and some great resources for both survivors and friends and partners of survivors. You can find more detail on their website here: http://www.asca.org.au
Reach Out provides support in this area for youth: http://au.reachout.com
Hope this helps.
