Hello
I am OK at the moment, but I’m putting together a “safety plan” if I am suicidal, and who I can get support from at differing levels of distress. Can someone tell me why someone would call the CATT team rather than 000? What does the CATT team do?
thanks
M

the CATT team talks to u over the phone doing a quick assessment wether you need to be hospitalised, and may offer other suggestions or hopsital programs depdning on ur eligibility
I've never called 000 but hvae called the CATT team a few times
They linked me in to short accomodation, to a case manager, and to hospital support programs.
The person who answers is specificially trained in MH to deal with criseses.
