Can’t cope. I’ve hit rock bottom before but not this bad. My head hurts, I’m tired, I’m sad, I think of my mum up above thinking I want to be with her so I don’t feel anymore pain.

Hi, Bevo
Sorry to hear of this, I have a few suggestions.
- Change of environment, even a walk around the block. Do a jigsaw. Sleep is essential
- Writing. Let out your emotions on paper
- Talk to a friend
- Remember the phone number at the bottom of this page or lifeline
- Google Youtube Prem rawat Maharaji sunset. Also Youtube Prem rawat Maharaji All is well. And many more he has
YOUR WORLD WILL RETURN
There's a view we can choose that we are unaware
That life and our mood we can no longer care
But ask yourself what would your mum yearn for you?
She would want the best for you when you leave the blues
She'd want you to keep going and live your time
Maybe in her honour you can make your words rhyme?
Because this challenging period will come and it will go
And theres one thing that matters and thats her eternal glow
So rest easy, have faith and get some sleep
Even if it means turning off your phone and counting sheep
For the next day or a few more wave goodbye to pain
Your world will return and the sun will rise again...

hello and welcome.
How are you feeling today?
I’m really sorry you’re feeling like this. It sounds like you’re in a lot of pain and what you’re describing sounds really hard. And you find the strength to come and and post here. You matter, even though your mind is saying otherwise right now. If you want to chat, I'm listening...

Hi Bevo
My heart goes out to you so much. Rock bottom would have to be the most painful place in existence. In thinking of depression as being like a depression or well in the ground, rock bottom is the darkest and loneliest part of that well and it's where inner dialogue can feel most brutal, most hopeless and most depressing. It's a truly torturous place to be alone. I'm so glad you've come to the forums, a place where others can relate to what the different depths of depression can feel like and even sound like in our mind.
Not always easy to know what led us down into the depths. While some things can be obvious, there can also be a lot of little things going on too (things we're not entirely conscious of). Stuff like
- Finding no one who can relate to our challenges and how we're feeling those challenges
- Having nothing or no one who re-energises us when we are feeling what 'completely flat' feels like. If 'life' is experienced through the energy we feel, next to no energy can having us feeling lifeless
- Not having a guide or losing a trusted guide (such as with a parent's passing). We can end up feeling so lost
- Not being able to gain a true sense of what it is we're feeling and what those feelings are trying to constructively tell us
The list goes on.
At the worst times in my life I can recall thinking along the lines of 'I wish someone could meet me where I'm at. I wish someone could relate to how much pain I feel. I wish someone could show me the way up and out of what feels like hell on earth'. Being a gal who can relate to sensing the difference a little light can make, I feel it's about someone bringing some light into where we're at, so that we can see and feel a little better. Seeing what we need to see and feeling what we need to feel cannot always be managed alone. I hope you feel the presence of those here who've come to meet you where you're at. While your pain sounds excruciating, I wish I could ease it if only for a moment so you could feel a difference. I'm here if you wish to fully express it, as opposed to keeping it all inside.
