Hi lilacsky8,
Thank you for your bravery in sharing here. We can hear how difficult things have been recently. We’re reaching out to you privately to make sure you’re ok.
While we wait for the community to respond, we wanted to provide some extra support. If you want to reach out to our counsellors to talk this through, we’re on 1300 22 4636, and you can reach us online here. There are also our friends over at the Suicide Call Back service on 1300 659 467, or Lifeline on 13 11 14.
If you’re feeling suicidal or are having thoughts about harming yourself, it's important that you take immediate steps to keep safe, and you need to call 000 (triple zero).
Thank you again for sharing here today. We hope that you find our forums to be a safe and supportive space to talk through your thoughts and feelings. Our community is here for you - you're not alone in this.
Take good care of yourself, lilacsky8 💜

Hey Lilacsky8,
That's a good question. One suggestion might be to ask your doctor explicitly what is confidential and what isn't, if you're unsure and want some clarification. Right now, the most important thing is keeping yourself safe and it's important that you feel safe to share openly within your appointments. It's a very brave thing to do.
Do you have any other supports that you see? It sounds like it could be a good time to link in with them, too - especially if it is something you're carrying by yourself at the moment. You deserve to have some support while you navigate this. You're always welcome to reach out to any of the above listed services, too.
Starting small, is there anything you have planned for the weekend that you're looking forward to or that can help you feel safe?
We're here to support you 💙
Kind regards
Sophie M

When you speak to your GP it would be a good start to discuss options there.
In the meantime here is some information that may be helpful to your question.
