Hi there Guest6457,
I just wanted to reach out and say hello. I’m Sophie, one of the moderators here at Beyond Blue, and I noticed this post from last night. Thank you for taking the time to jump on the forum and share how you are feeling, it must have taken a lot of courage when things feel like this.
It sounds like you’ve been feeling incredibly alone for a while now hey? and carrying the impact of abuse on top of that can make everything feel even harder. You deserve that kindness, understanding, and connection, you have within you, especially when it feels like the opposite has been your experience.
Because of what you shared, I wanted to ask, are you feeling safe right now?
If things feel overwhelming, I really encourage you to reach out and have a chat with one of our counsellors. They’re warm, non‑judgemental, and would genuinely like to get to know you and what life has been like for you.
You can reach the Beyond Blue Support Service anytime on 1300 22 4636, or via webchat here: https://www.beyondblue.org.au/get-support
If you’re under 25, Kids Helpline is also another great choice to just chat through how you are feeling, they are 24/7 on 1800 55 1800, both phone and webchat options if that feels easier.
You don’t have to go through this alone. Even though it might not feel like it right now, I promise, there are people here who want to listen and support you, including us. If you feel able to, you’re welcome to reply and let us know how you’re going today.
Take care,
Sophie M

I just wanted to say that we hear you. I have c-ptsd too and I know how it can feel scary and really challenging to connect with people. It can be hard to trust. You are welcome to share more of how you feel and what is happening for you if it feels like it helps. Take care xx
