is it your pets? friends? a certain quote?
it can be anything as long as it helps you in your darkest hour
For me what gives me hope is that there have been people in a similar situation as me esp the CSA and whilst it was a very hard journey and by no means an easy recovery, they are alot better. of course they have their bad days, who doesnt? but its the fact that they didnt give up, and they managed to get througha dark tunnel blind and come out into the world a better person.
so what gives you hope?

Starting new..what a super post!
My neighbour miss A ,my bp buddy, gives me hope. She is always happy and "does not sweat the small stuff".
I ventured out of my hole today at last. We put on our dancing heels and fronted up to class, only it was at the wrong class. This was the line dancing class. After going home and changing into boots n jeans we returned to cheers from the group.
What gave me hope?
I have not joined a group for 2 years. Everyone was friendly and I danced my little meercat paws off. The teacher was kind and encouraging. Maybe people arent so scary after all!!
Hope i get the courage to go again.
So thankyou miss A for giving me hope and getting me out of my comfort zone.
meercat xx

There are a few things, but recently what's been recurring in my mind is the thought of my grandmother.
When I'm struggling with depression or anxiety I like to think about being my grandmother's age and looking back on my life. That hopefully I will get to reminisce more good times than bad, that they will be more powerful in the grand scheme of things.
Thank you for the great thread idea, hope you're all well 🙂
