What are three small (or big) achievements you’ve had today? Let’s cheer each other on!

Hello all,

Sometimes just doing the basics is so hard. It can be tough not to get down on ourselves when we’re struggling with things that ‘should’ be easy.

But we deserve to celebrate even the smallest achievements, because they are really feats of strength when you’re unwell. It’s ok if you can’t do everything. We know you’re doing your best, and that’s enough ☺️

What are 3 small (or big) achievements that you’ve had today?

For me: 1. I washed my hair

2. I drank two glasses of water

3. I sat out in the sun for 15 minutes

How bout you? Let’s cheer ourselves and each other on!

Ok let’s get this thread going again! It really is important that we celebrate our small wins. They give us a sense of self worth, hope and accomplishment.

So, the weather is finally lovely here today so I:

1. Did 2 loads of washing

2. Opened all the windows

3. Did an online yoga lesson

How about you?

Great idea Alexlisa!

My achievements for today?

  1. I got out of bed early
  2. Put on a load of washing
  3. Opened the house up even though it's cold
  4. and made a decision to fight my way out of complacency

Four isn't three, but the last one's important 😕

Great work everyone, keep going!

Today for me I accomplished a few things:

1) I vacuumed my apartment

2) I cooked for myself beef stroganoff

3) I sat out front of my apartment for the first time since I moved in December. Even if it was only for ten minutes it took all my courage.

4) I started a list of a few plants I’d like to grow in my little garden. Hoping they don’t get stolen or crushed.

5) I used my smoke alarm for the first time.

Been a while since I've been on this thread!

Today:

1. Finally weeded the garden (thank you sun!)

2. Hanged out all my washing (yet again sun thank you!)

3. Visited my Nan in the aged care and had a good time.

Extras: woohoo!

4. Went through my old DVDs and got rid off multiple copies and non working discs!

5. Tried the Rocky Road Latte OMG so good (bonus: didn't upset my sensitive stomach!)

*Happy Dance* Good on everyone keeping up with this thread and celebrating each achievement!

Wow weeded the garden! That’s a big achievement.

Today I:

1. Listened to my body and slept in an hour. I needed it.

2. I replied to a couple of posts here.

3. I haven’t been too hard on myself for doing things slowly.

1)I deliberately avoided solid foods, as I’ve been feeling sick from overeating.
2)I went for a walk to the park.
3)Posted some replies here.
Much better than eating and drinking myself to death while watching daytime TV.

Today I:

1) Continued to be mindful of negative self-talk & through this, was able to let one of the 'usual suspects' wash over me as it played out with relatively little affect (yay!)...it's one of the worst ones, too - so I'm pretty happy about that!

2) Helped the animals get used to a change in feed regime - in prep for going away.

3) Did not lay in bed and sleep all day - moved to the couch. So, better than yesterday. I have my good days & bad days. I guess we all do.
