What are three small (or big) achievements you’ve had today? Let’s cheer each other on!

Hello all,

Sometimes just doing the basics is so hard. It can be tough not to get down on ourselves when we’re struggling with things that ‘should’ be easy.

But we deserve to celebrate even the smallest achievements, because they are really feats of strength when you’re unwell. It’s ok if you can’t do everything. We know you’re doing your best, and that’s enough ☺️

What are 3 small (or big) achievements that you’ve had today?

For me: 1. I washed my hair

2. I drank two glasses of water

3. I sat out in the sun for 15 minutes

How bout you? Let’s cheer ourselves and each other on!

Its been a week since i posted last wow time is flying by!

My achievements since i last posted:

1. I had an amazing session with my psychologist which resulted in having a conversation with my Nan I have been putting off since she went into hospital the first time before last Christmas. (Tears were shed hugs given and I love her even more)

2. I resigned from my job. My first ever job i got just before my 16th! 6 years later and after deciding to put my mental & physical health over my work I made the choice to leave and I feel like a major weight has been lifted off my shoulders!

3. I finally made a decision on what I want to do with my life so I am focusing on my study and loving every second of it.

4. Practising for my Learners liscence (2nd time around) hopefully ill do the hours this time so i can get my ps.

1. I went on a walk in the bush that I had not taken for years

2. I wrote an emaiI had been putting off

3. I made phone call I had been meaning to make for a few weeks.

Well done I'm lost maybe you may need to change your name as you sound like you have a plan,

1. I had breakfast & lunch. I made my bed & fed the animals. I couldn't do that not too long ago, so I'm very proud of this.

2. The morning had already passed & that drowning feeling of hopelessness was beginning to rise. I managed to ease the anxiety by making a decision to start working after lunch.

3. I read over the posts I made about my situation & it helped me come to terms with it all. This reminded me of the tasks I need to do if I am to get myself to a good place.

Hi Alexlisa,

Thank You so much for this post. I really needed to see something like this. I plan to comment on it everyday.

My three small (or big) achievements for today are:

1. eating a chicken and tabouleh roll (something healthy.)

2. I folded the washing.

3. I picked my mum up from work (as she doesnt drive.)

Great thread!

I had a breakdown the day before new years, Took a week off work to gather myself.

Today -

I went to work! I also woke up early to make sure I had enough time to have a coffee at one of my favorite coffee shops.

I have openly talked to people about why I was away from work. I didnt put it down to 'just being sick'

I changed my phone plan to a cheaper one!

1:Got out of bed.

2:Did a load of washing and hung it out.

3:Watered my whole garden with tank water.

Let the dentist give me 4 injections

Let the dentist pull my tooth out

Treating myself before I drive home

Three tiny achievements..

I drank a bottle of water when I woke up instead of a coffee

I saw a kookaburra and allowed myself to marvel at him instead of the paying attention to the uneasy feeling of dread that was in my head

I did 2 loads of washing

Everyone, I congratulate you on your achievements. Some days it feels like I don’t achieve much, but it’s about perspective, and small gentle steps are the best I can do right now.

1. I went into work.

2. I asked for help.

3. I let myself rest.

Today was very satisfying for me as I did the following 3 days

1/helped in a food bank selling real cheap food to the less fortunate in a local community.

2/ Managed to spend some quality time with my wife which was great as she has a very busy job.

3/ very thankful for my health as have not had any seizures since last July which is a awesome feeling
