We can do it BBers, we can do self-care.
Sleepy21 pointed out research that shows self-care REALLY helps!
Please share what you do for self-care so we can get inspiration, ideas and motivation to do it too.
Best wishes
EM

Taylah, how could they hate you!
Booked myself a docs appt, to get a referral to see my psychologist again.
took a mental health day
went for a nature walk with Mrs. Not_Batman to talk things through.
Ended up decluttering, organising the car shed, and filling holes in the roof to keep the rain water out.

Everyone seems to hate me Not_Batman, I guess a therapist would too. I probably annoy him.
Nice self care you have, I love how you wrote Mrs Not_Batman, haha

On Tue...
1. reading Daring Greatly (something I read in bed)
2. listening to relax melodies. (good and bad here... sounds nice but like I was watching vs participating)
3. an old friend came to office for a chat

I absolutely agree that reading these SC points is refreshing and also inspiring.
I don’t often do something during the day specifically for me except for some housework. So this thread has got me thinking about how I do things throughout the day. Perhaps breaking the day day up into sections e.g doing some of the chores then something for me, then some downtime
I feel that when we’re happier and feeling better about ourselves we are able to do more and enjoy more.
So far today I’ve,
made myself a cup of peppermint tea
read and posted in this thread
opened the blinds to let natural light in

Hey Not_Batman. I colour outside the lines too, it's so hard! I look at some people's colouring in, painting, etc. and it's just like WOW, like a photograph. And I think how? I wish I could to that.
I also have a Colour By Numbers app on my iPad, called Happy Colour - it's free, and quite relaxing. So many pictures.
