Three self-care things you did today!

We can do it BBers, we can do self-care.

Sleepy21 pointed out research that shows self-care REALLY helps!

Please share what you do for self-care so we can get inspiration, ideas and motivation to do it too.

Best wishes
EM

I can often be a bit of a slacker with self care, but I am proud of my efforts today

1 - ate breakfast! I usually skip breakfast but today I had a crispy green apple & it was delicious

2 - exercise. Literally dragged myself out of bed at the crack of dawn to do some sprint training as instructed by my physio. So I went to the footy field & did my sprints up & down. Then home for a shower, all before work. And I am NOT an early riser 🤣

3 - made a nice home cooked meal for dinner

Hey BB Self-carers, 5 stars for your self-care!

J* thankyou for sharing that info about essential oils!
Indeed they make a big difference to our lives here.
I think we're so used to using them, I find it hard to separate WHEN we use them lol.

Sleepy, Chai actually reminds me of you now lol. I saw my bag of Chai in the fridge tonight and I thought of you and remembered I hadn't been on the forums much at all lately, so I'm here now lol >>> Chai >>> Sleepy >>> oh yeah the forums! hahaha.

The Big Blue, that's really commendable that you're waking up so early to get some sprint training in and shower in time for work and cook dinner too!

ALL CHAMPIONS.

My self-care:

~ ate a great home made Caesar salad for lunch - my version lol with marinated artichokes and feta cheese

~ expressed my love and happiness by smiling at everyone I know today (when I realised I was frowning or looking serious)

~ spent hours in the garden after work with our new chickens, cleaning up and getting stuff done.

Today's self-care:

1) Had some chocolate! I'm really glad that I didn't restrict myself too much and that I am still able to treat myself and not feel guilty afterwards (something I have struggled with at times in the past)

2) Cooked dinner for my family

3)Cleaned my room! It made me be in a very productive mindset afterwards

today's self-care

hung out on the couch

replied to an email from my real estate agent - feels relief to get all this annoying stuff done

Technically, it happened today so I'll share it with you. Went out with my mates to a nightclub on Saturday night. While my mates' goals were to kiss as many girls as possible, my motivation for the night was to dance all night. And I did. Purely focussed on my goal and burned 300 calories in 45 minutes at one point. I thought I was gonna pass out from dancing all night. At the end of the night, my mates asked me if I had kissed a girl and I reaffirmed that my goal was to dance all night. I felt so powerful.

This is a progress in the right direction, I didn't put any expectations on me other than dancing for the night and I didn't compare myself to other people. Created a resilient bubble around myself and achieved my goal.

Hi ypla!

It's so great to hear that you had a good night and that you didn't compare yourself to other people. That's so awesome!
