Hi Everyone
If you have any good news in your life or seen any good news in the media please let us know in a brief post 😊
Note: I understand and respect this thread topic is not for everyone as any level of anxious/depressive feelings are awful to experience
Just for myself I have a couple of positives
- Peta Credlin on Sky News gave Beyond Blue a huge mention earlier this week
- My mum is still independent and doing well at 90 years of age and her lung function test is 'Normal' and still a smoker! Love you mum x
any good news is welcome...and thankyou everyone for being a part of the Beyond Blue forums too!
my kindest always...Paul

Hi Everyone,
Excellent title and topic for a thread to help lift our spirits!
Some good news from me:
- due to covid-19 my gall bladder removal operation was cancelled, it now seems with a change in diet I have had few symptoms so the gallbladder can stay!
- recent rains have produced an amazing display of roses in our region.
- after a very long time I now have a psychologist who appears to be willing to help me! That is amazingly good news for me and those around me!
Cheers all from Dools

The warm welcome is reassuring EM I so appreciate your colour and exuberance.
Hi Geoff, thanks for your support and taking the time. Bringing out the best in people is easier also with such kind and encouraging people such as yourself.
Thank you Paul, I am doing well. These forums are helping me look forward 🙂

Mrs dools
thanks for sharing your good news.
someone told me near my area is an organisation that helps frazzled mums of young children by maybe taking the baby for a walk on help in any way needed. What a kind idea .

Hi Quirky and All,
That is a lovely idea Quirky. No doubt the people involved need to be screened and checked. Such a wonderful initiative though.
S.A. has an outbreak of Covid at the moment. The good news is that the Government now knows how to handle this virus and measures are being put in place to help control it.
The good news is, Australia is not in the same place as other countries around the world regarding Covid.
(I'm not trying to reduce the impact on lives and people in general, just trying to find some good news in this situation)
Cheers form Dools

Hi everyone!
First time for me posting on this thread 🙂
Good news is that work has been going well and I hit 4 months! I know it seems small but I am so relieved because it has been really stressful but my stress tolerance is building and I am becoming stronger. I really really hope I can get at least 8 months under my belt!

Hi everyone, what a nice thread this is. Everything people have written here is great news.
Mine would be:
- Coming back to the forums after a while (I don't know if that's good news but oh well).
- Finding some friends in America that I hope to meet one day.
- Finding a friend in Sydney that makes wax melts (like candles) for me, she even got me a birthday gift and gives me freebies like samples (not trying to brag).
- I've finally found a good GP that I'm sticking with, after bad experiences.
- I've been seeing my Psychiatrist for a year, the longest I've stuck with a therapist (sort of a good thing I guess).
- I recently turned 21 (once again, sort of good I guess).
Tayla.

Also,
I found a campsite I can stay at cheaply near work. This will mean I won't have to make the dreaded long commute. It's also got a pool.
