Reaching a certain age, there are expectations from brown family for a woman. Also looking at peers thriving in their relationships, careers makes it harder to feel okay nowadays. I feel lost. How to take control of things, when u don’t know what u want from life?

Dear New Member~
Welcome here to the Support Forum . Trying to find out what you want is not easy -or quick. In fact I found it easier to find our what I did not want, and that was a long list:)
I found it can be easy to be fooled by what I called ideas. I thought I wanted a partner, though it was not a linking to any particular person, just the idea of partnership. I'm glad I did not rush, and while had a couple of relationships for a sort while eventually found the peron I really wanted to spend my life with .
The expectations of others are their business, trying ot conform your life to their ideas is not going to help in the long run, just leave you dissatisfied.
Similarly looking at others in their relationships and careers. You only see the outside, and what happens behind closed doors could be anything. No doubt some will be happy, others not.
What you want will come to you. In the meantime just do the best you can to get along, earn enough to live and explore the world. I don't mean lots of overseas trips, but simply what goes on around you..
