Long Time no See

Hi All,

Alot of things have been going on here for me, while in hospital. It has been quite challenging, hard, fustrating and very emotional at various times. Sorry i haven't been in touch, i have been quite hectic with trying to sort myself out.

The last couple of days, in particular today has been very disturbing, challenging and emotional.I will be in hospital for at least another week.

To everyone out there who is suffering with a mental illenss or knows someone who has a mental illness there is hope and light at the end of tunnel. It takes alot of time, effort, tears, support and encouragement to get to see the light. I know it is hard and fustrating and you feel like there is no end in sight but i can assure you it does get better, sometimes it get's worse before it starts to get better.

I wish everyone the best with their respective illnesses and the family members and friends of those people that things get better for you soon.

Take Care

Chris

Hey Chris,

I was happy to see your post!!

I am so glad that you are improving and that you are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Chris, I am going to hospital on Monday for a week for rest, therapy, healing and learning.  I hope I will be okay but I am so unsure of everything.  There are so many "what ifs".  I hope I will be able to rest and heal and learn some new things.

I am very scared of being so emotional in front of others because I don't show it to anyone except my GP and psych.  And I am scared of breaking down.

I'm so glad you came on here today because I have been thinking of you and was hoping to hear from you before I went into hospital so I could tell you.

Please take care Chris, I will let you know how I go in hospital.

Hope you have a good week in hospital.

Looking forward to your reply

Hi Chris

Mate, it was awesome to read your post and to hear from you.

It sounds like it's been a real rollercoaster kind of ride in there for you and gee, just reading your words, there did seem to be genuine signs of progress from you.  Although having said that it is a bit of a worry about how you have felt over the past few days - that's sounds very challenging and I can imagine pretty emotionally draining and exhausting as well.  But to be like that in a place where you're being carefully looked after and monitored, that is good.

Again, was great to hear from you again Chris.
