Sometime I might be cleaning or at work and the negative thoughts can sink in. I was at my doctor and he said just don't think about them and try not to dwell on them and sometimes at home I'm cleaning and I get angry about my life but today I put on music as I cleaned is it a better way to deal with bad thoughts.do u just have to accept that life doesn't always go you on way and u might feel better and life might be a bit raised it feels a bit better the noise of the music kind of blocks out the negative thoughts so just asking thanks

Negative thoughts will always be there even though we try to re direct to positive thoughts. It’s will only subside when we are open and talk it out. Throw the negative by either writing it on the paper or telling BB counsellor what’s bothering you or if you want post at your message and we can help you. Negative thoughts only will outcome when or if we realise that it’s not or unreal.

Hi mlg I thought maybe getting into a habit of thinking differently. And distract myself from bad thoughts and try and think different. I've talk about my negative thoughts before with shrinks family members. I was on antidepressant for a while,and it helped for a while.I think the gym is the best place for dealing with depression but I don't always have the motivation but that's my opinion thanks for the reply

Hello Gizz 36,

Diverting your mind or making your mind to think other things or re directing your mind will not solve any problems. The problem will always be there. It will be in your subconscious mind until you realise or come to a sense that, that problem is just a bug that can be fixed. All problem have a solution and the solution need to be practiced and over come it only by ourself. The word 'while' you mention in your post is a good example of my point. Sharing your negative thoughts can and could over come your problem. If you feel reluctant or unwillingly to talk on your post, call BB helpline and talk to them. I am sure that they can help you.

If yo feel comfortable we can share what we did today as that can help you.

Hi mlg I never knew there were solutions to all these problems I was on antidepressant for a while. I got off them. They worked for a while but then I was taking them but didn't see improvement in my life still was shy and not confident.so I came off them I'm having problems with motivation like I wanna go to the gym that might give me more confidence and make me feel better about myself or get a hobby but I don't want to be on tablets anymore but I'm open to any suggestions thanks for the reply

If you give yourself a chance problem can be solve. For example like you going to gym thinking that the problem can be solved but as how much you go to the gym the problem will always be there. I too go into depression or into a situation of anxiety but I try not to put too much into it. I talk it out to someone or my self in the mirror (crazy but it help me). Why you like to do the most beside going to gym? Please don't be shy with me as I am an open minded person. I accept the person who they are and what they are because they are a beautiful person. Like you. I can be there fore you to talk too.

Since you like to go to the gym, have you join group exercise. It allow you to be social and get to know someone. Try some baby step. Try doing it to the place that you love to go the most. It will help a bit.

You said you want to be off with the med. Have you talk to your doctor about it. If your off has it helped you?

Hi again mlg well I'm 36 single I work as a welder I like drawing I have my own house well a unit which im about to sell which i think has caused alot of stressed lately.moving in with my brother and my parent's are Irish and I didn't do too well in high school I think I have a self esteem issues really can't see myself having a happy future thanks for listening

Hello Gizz, it's nice meeting you. Simple and sweet introduction.

I am in my 40s, Love gardening as I love to watch the flowers bloom. It's more of watching the plants that I grow healthy and it make me smiling. My parents are from abroad and it was difficult to leave them to a foreign country. Managed to survive on my own despite having an anxiety of wanting to go home cause missing them. Eventually started to realised that I need to do something for my self at once. So started to come to Australia to start a new life.

When I first came here, I meet this Irish guy who was studying a Master. He was a nice person too.. So I assume you're an awesome person too. Please do not have low self esteem about yourself. I know there is so much wonders in you that will bring your confident back.

As I said please don't be shy to say what you feel of saying as we are here to help you and I am a good listener.
