I am an Australian male living and working in Hong Kong. 3 years ago I suffered anxiety disorder with mild depression, treated with medication with some minor therapy for 6 months.
I was well for the last 3 years, until recently I had a relapsed because of job change - but this time it's more depression but minor anxiety.
I was feeling hopeless with this relapse, I went with the same above medication but it didn't work and psychiatrist changes it. The issue is I am dwelling / worry about this sickness, I still haven't accepted and depressive symptoms are more challenging. It's like when things are so great for the last time..then "bam"....it returns.
I like to hear from people around how do they cope this when it relapse and staying well.
Thanks.

Hello Grungerock
We are watching for your posts and listening to the pain you rare going through during this period of transitioning to new meds.
I am wondering if you are able to be with family or friends or heather you are alone?
if you don't get any better very soon, you should perhaps go back to your GP.
take care

Hi AOK
It's a struggle and it's already affecting my family dynamics. I am not taking a lot of actions to get out of my situation. My wife is already fade up with my nonsense. The problem is I have been focusing myself and not everything outside.

Hi again GR
Sad to hear that you are still not feeling the best. It will get better.
Can I say that the thing with this illness that you, I and many others have, is that it makes us focus on ourself - and not necessarily in a good way. We can't help it, it is what the illness that is gripping us does to us. Those days that you do feel strong enough, try taking small baby steps outside of yourself. Go for a walk with your family, spend a little time focussing on them. I find it quite therapeutic for myself. You feel tired afterwards, but it gets better.
Stay with us and let me know how you progress.
Take care

Hi AOK
Thanks for your reply.
What you say is right - it's irony that I (or we) tend to focus inwards than outwards. The world out there is full of sufferings and I forgot what is going on in this world. The world still goes as it is.
We forget our families, love ones, or closed ones, who really stood by us and care for us.
