Hi all,

I'm having a particularly hard time at the moment and not much of a talker but I love writing and find it helps especially when shared with others. Any others with similar thoughts?

Hi p77d. Welcome

Writing can be many things.

I write poetry, funny poetry, children's, Anzac, animals etc. Also highly emotional poetry. It has helped me emotionally mature.

Some of communicate better by writing than person to person

I'm sure if I was talking directly to a forum member I'd find it difficult to contain my emotions and I'd not have the time to pause and think

These are the benefits of this forum. Hope you enjoy it.

Hi there p77d,

Welcome to Beyond Blue and you’re definitely not on your own in being someone who is not much of a talker, but you find writing so much easier.

It’s brilliant and I honestly think that everyone should walk around with lap-tops. If you see someone on the street, just casually avoid them, but then post and say, “Hey I almost bumped into you … how’s things going, what are you up too, where were you going?” But to do that in person, is like, so much harder to do. Because they’re bound to ask their own questions of you and the mind has to think on the spot to make up some kind of ‘ok’ response.

So again welcome and I hope that you’re able to find this forum and the site very worthwhile for you – and please, I’d love to hear back from you – perhaps to find out a little more about you. This site is extremely warm and friendly and above all else, very supportive.

Kind regards

Neil
