Moon, I don't know how long I can keep going. This second wave in Vic is frightening for me. I had been trying to cope by reminding myself that the restrictions were for a short period & then we would get back to some normality. Some things are fine. Standing 1.5 m apart from people in public etc is no big deal if that keeps us safe. Other things can't go on indefinitely. I hope & pray for a miracle that this current lockdown works & we can at least be able to travel within Australia & visit family & friends. I need to be able to get the supports needed for my husband & myself without putting us or others at risk.

Thank you for the apology. I knew you never meant any harm by what you said. I just wanted to make sure others who may have been affected by the fires think their loss was less important than the current problems.

Hello Elizabeth CP, thank you and very much appreciate it.

I never ever want to upset anybody and if for any reason I do, then I need to be notified.

Our intention is to help people through this most devastating illness and now COVID-19 is with us, it will only impact on how we are feeling.

This is a good thread.

Thanks for your attention.

Geoff.

Hi everyone and thankyou for your contributions!

Hey Moon That's a good question. It's not up to me how long I could sustain Lockdowns. As ElizabethCP mentioned its not the government who is restricting our freedom of movement..Its this highly infectious pathogen

I'm still between 8-9 on the impact scale

my kindest always

Paul

I suppose we need to help ourselves before we help others.
Paul you are very patient.

I think understanding that people have different needs, different opinions and different ways of coping helps me. I try not to be judgmental with those who disagree with me.

Restricting what an individual can do and who they can meet and where they can go makes everyone feel under pressure.

I think if we can help each other and not trying o blame others it will help us all.

Hi Everyone!..New posters are always welcome too

Clarification re Moon's post on July 10..

Moon mentioned an excellent question...."Can I ask one question? You wrote you are "happy to sacrifice your civil liberties for the long-term health benefits"...for how long would you willingly sacrifice them?

Blondguy answered..."Hey Moon That's a good question. It's not up to me how long I could sustain Lockdowns. As ElizabethCP mentioned its not the government who is restricting our freedom of movement..Its this highly contagious pathogen" Thankyou ElizabethCP for your clarity!

Hey Quirky.....sorry about the typo....I posted above using my mobile phone....not smart...oops! Thankyou for your complimentary post!...I hope you had a chance to read Moon's question from Friday 10th?

Paul

I saw moons question. I thought it was asked to Pail.

I have suffered enough this year that COVID doe mean that much to me, I have moved to a new town and I do not know what anyone, so I have nowhere to go.

the fires took my wonderful shop and purpose in life,

if I am stopped again from seeing my grand daughter I would be upset,

For me it’s not about civil liberties taken my ,life changed on NYE 2019..

I am grateful I have a house to live in and not a caravan,

when seat belts first were compulsory many claimed it was against their civil liberty and refused to wear the seat belt, now nearly every one thinks it is a good thing,

Thanks for the question. Moon,

Hello Everyone

Hi Quirky....thankyou for your super support re civil liberties!

I dont know if its helpful or not...I have bumped up the Bushfire thread topic for you as there would be many people still experiencing similar trauma as you have

Hello Quirky, I am terribly sorry about losing your shop in the bushfires, but for a long time, what you have been doing on this site has helped so many people, and if I can personally thank you.

Take care.

Geoff.

Hi Everyone!

I'm still an 8-9 out of 10 where Covid Impact is concerned..

Smart move by the health ministry to stress the importance of wearing masks to help reduce the high rate of community infection. Good move! 👍

Have a great day
