Dear Dontpaintbynumbers~

I can't give you a complete answer to this, there is simply too much here and people get value from different things. When I first came to Beyond Blue my illness (PTSD, Anxiety, bouts of Depression) had been ongoing for many years, so I can't say anything actually got me started, thought they certainly have been an influence and changed what I do.

The following 3 areas on the website helped me see treatments and things I could so myself in a realistic manner.

What works for Anxiety:
http://resources.beyondblue.org.au/prism/file?token=BL/0762

What Works for Depression:
http://resources.beyondblue.org.au/prism/file?token=BL/0556

and AGrace's thread:
Forums / Anxiety / SELF HELP TIPS FOR MANAGING ANXIETY

Even right at the start if a person has an illnesses such as these then getting an overall view of what is likely to be of help is a great resource, and can then be a topic of discussion with one's doctor.

Was there anything in particular you are looking for?
