A Bouquet for Pearls - share your appreciation for other members

Every now and then, members share a beautiful Pearl of Wisdom. How often do you think to yourself; "OMG that's great! I wish everyone could see this."

Presenting someone with a bunch of flowers is a generous way of acknowledging their insightful words.

I hope this thread stays active through members giving out praise regularly to people they feel deserving, and therefore keep generosity of spirit alive within the pages of BeyondBlue Forum.

My bunch of Red Roses (my choice) goes to Wishful for the following sentence;

• 'Personally, I see no reason to be praised in me, but I'm learning that seeing through the eyes of others can be more accurate!!'

I so hear you Wishful. Just beautiful...

1. Try to keep your leading comments short to focus on 'their' words.
2. Choose specific flowers (or a gift if you like) to present to them.
3. Sign off respectfully and sincerely.

I love this thread. Geoff is spot on DB you are unfailingly kind. Thank you for your post on my thread today.

When Sara created this thread she wrote that it is also for sharing "pearls". I wanted to share this that Mary (White Rose) wrote to me...

I had a lesson from my psych yesterday when I was talking about a specific flashback that kept re-appearing.

She told me I needed to be self-compassionate. So I asked for more information and she said, "Where does it hurt, put your hand on that spot". (My chest) So I did.

"Close your eyes and feel the warmth of your hand, relax the shoulders and let yourself think about that warmth. Think about the incident and allow yourself to be comforted."

This was instead of trying to distract myself from thoughts which she said only made them harder to go away.

I would like to dust this thread down if it’s okay......I was going to go around to each thread and pop a few Easter goodies off.....but I think that would take me until next Easter😁..

I so much would love to give each wonderful person posting or reading and behind the scenes...A beautiful Easter basket full of Easter goodies...which has inside it, some chocolate eggs 🥚..chocolate rabbits 🐇...chocolate chickens 🐓...and also a little crystal jar full of hope 🌈..little wishes🌟... love 💕and hugs.🤗..You are all amazing people who help other people that are strangers....and that’s pure gold..

Hello everyone....

I really would like to give a beautiful bunch of flowers...to all the people working behind the scenes at BB...I’m in hospital again,,and I found a rather thick book from Beyond Blue..called “A guide to what works for Depression”..It’s been keeping me company since I found it here.....Thank you BB..your even helping me while I’m in hospital...and your also helping so many people that you could never imagine.....
