Every now and then, members share a beautiful Pearl of Wisdom. How often do you think to yourself; "OMG that's great! I wish everyone could see this."
Presenting someone with a bunch of flowers is a generous way of acknowledging their insightful words.
I hope this thread stays active through members giving out praise regularly to people they feel deserving, and therefore keep generosity of spirit alive within the pages of BeyondBlue Forum.
My bunch of Red Roses (my choice) goes to Wishful for the following sentence;
- 'Personally, I see no reason to be praised in me, but I'm learning that seeing through the eyes of others can be more accurate!!'
I so hear you Wishful. Just beautiful...
- Try to keep your leading comments short to focus on 'their' words.
- Choose specific flowers (or a gift if you like) to present to them.
- Sign off respectfully and sincerely.
I hope this takes off...
Spreading the love...Sara

Kudos to James 1 for his brilliant (and so relevant) sea-urchin-spines- in-the foot analogy in the Not coping after disclosure thread.

A Classic Post from JessF today on another thread
JessF Said: "No, I don't think it's a good idea to be positive all the time,sometimes
there are good reasons to be negative. If you're facing a decision
that affects your life and health, finances, career... big decisions,
then a conservative outlook can be prudent. But if you're being held
back in life, or prone to think in terms of "always" and "never" then
it's time to start pulling those bricks out of the wall"
Thats one hell of a intellectual & wise post.
Spot on JessF

I would just like to encourage all of the new people joining this forum.
Some of you may feel you have little to offer anyone. We never know the impact of the words and sentiments we share on the forum.
There are too many people to mention individually. I want to encourage you all to make the most of the community here.
To all the "Newbies" I give you all a long stemmed red rose and offer you encouragement to continue on your journey of healing.
To those who have been here for a while I offer you a white rose, filled with scents of peace and comfort.
Cheers all from Mrs. Dools

Isn't it wonderful when people give without wanting anything in return?
The other aspect of this thread, is gratitude. For some, receiving complements can be difficult due to low self worth, so saying 'thankyou' without question may challenge some.
However, there's no time like the present to learn, and accept selfless giving from another as an earned and worthy gift.
I'm sending each person who's posted on here; the giver's and the receiver's, the smell of Summer rain approaching after a period of drought.
Blessings to all...

Dear Kanga;
I'd be honoured to spend time with you at a retreat to give you the company of a friend and peace you've wished for and deserve. No man is an island...
It's also something I deserve too. There's nothing wrong with giving gifts to ourselves either.
