Hello
I really want to tell this to someone so I get it of my chest…
Some months ago I met this guy at a church group. At first I didn’t really notice him.
After seeing him a few times in this church group I notice he was staring at me from afar.
occasionally he would come and say hi.
My conversation skills are not great plus I’m a really shy person so it’s hard for me to keep a conversation going with a new person.
I followed him on instagram and he followed me back.
he looks at my stories every time I post one.
now he is always on my mind.
morning, afternoon and night.
I have no idea what to do about it……

Hi, welcome
The first thing to acknowledge is to give him the impression that you are friendly and that you like him as a person. To do that isnt easy being shy but here are some ideas-
- find a way to give him your phone number be it on Instagram or other way. That way you or him can text and that makes things easier.
- Take an interest in him and his life, hobbies, sports. Ask questions, ask, ask, ask, That way he does all the talking and he will know you like him.
- As your pastor/priest if he knows more about him
- Ask about his knowledge on the bible, your religion is your first common interest. Ask him his greatest knowledge about it, he'll tell you a section eg Luke, then have your number written on a piece of paper and ask him if he can call you to discuss this in more detail.
- "Do you like biscuits"? is a good question. "You want to try some of mine"? Whatever he says "you'll have to visit and watch me make them".
Remember- if you dont do some of these basic communications then he'll move onto someone else. Any effort will be worthwhile.
I used to be shy, every time I'd hesitate the girl would be asked out by another guy.
