Dear Helpneededplease~
Welcome ot the Forum. It is a most upsetting and difficult time when a family member is incarcerated, particularly if they are the bread winner.
I guess in that situation most people need two sorts of support. The emotional understanding and care of family or friends. Do you have anyone to lean on?
The other sort is the practical details and there may be several avenues to try:
I think Anglicare, the Red Cross and the Salvation Army are all worth contacting
The correctional department in your area may have some assistance, they are mostly listed here,
Then there is are prisoner welfare organizations

Please be aware I cannot personally vouch for any of these , they are simply present in this rather comprehensive list.
We do have a long thread with the experiences of family members being incarcerated here. While it may not exactly fit your circumstances at least you can see how others have coped. It is an old thread but if you write htere perhaps one of the former posters will reply.
If you would like to come back and say how you got on that would be great.
