Please be careful about making assumptions about people's intentions. It can absolutely destroy a family, friendships and your own inner peace. If you think someone has done or said something against you, give them the benefit of the doubt. Ask their intention. If it was good or bad they'll likely shine a good light on it, I get that but you will never know their true heart. Only God knows this. By viewing people's actions/thoughts as though they had good intentions gives you inner peace, softens your response and allows the relationship to connect at a deeper level. No one really benefits from relationship breakdown. We are all humans who miscommunicate, do and say silly things (not a single person is exempt from this). We all need to move to have a forgiving heart, grace for each other, a willingness to listen, and courage to be heard - my prayers go out to all estranged families for all of this...our families are too important to not to fight for. God bless you all. 🙏

Lovey post but in some cases resolution and amending abusive family dynamics can damage one’s mental health safety and wellbeing . Certainly on a deeper level u can forgive ,give grace but there comes a time where those kind actions one gives out gets thrown back in one’s face . I think everyone tries to fix there relationship but it takes two to fix it and if one is not interested constantly causing drama stress and affecting the other persons wellbeing it’s time to consider a relationship is healthy to stay in . Lived experience and insight into how family dynamics can really affect the person who is being abused and leaves so much pain to the affected person; family disputes can sometimes be “ silly “ comments others can make can be downright betrayal, psychological abusive and leave the other person living in fear. I like your ideas but I don’t think you should make assumptions that people in these dynamics haven’t tried to mend the relationship and the other people involved have just become more abusive more toxic and the only solution for their wellbeing is to cut those people out of their lives which is a extremely hard thing to do because you may also still love and forgive them it honestly however does not make the relationship safe . Anyone in a estranged relationship understands they are in that because of constant disrespect, and abuse and those that are fighting that and living with that knowing their family is not good ,Forgiveness is given it doesn’t mean the other person is willing to accept their behaviour is toxic and will not stop their abuse. And the only thing the other party can do is cut them out of their life which by no means is easy to do. But sometimes it is necessary.

Please remember we are all humans on different levels of maturity with our social interactions with others (think of it as an individual journey where some are further along the journey than others). Those who are less mature shouldn't be socially excluded by other people. I believe it is our responsibility to role model the behaviour we too would like to receive. This is where grace and forgiveness needs to be extended as every single person is on their own journey. If you feel you are socially mature and have the ability to continually reflect on areas for your own personal/social development (as no human being is perfect) then I think that is absolutely wonderful and you would be a wonderful ambassador for you family. You have this beautiful opportunity to sow the seeds for a harvest you would like to receive. Don't expect the harvest to be quick. Be patient and you might be surprised when it is received. Pray for strength and lean into God. You are stronger than you think.

I love your thoughts but sometimes forgiveness doesn’t have to be at the other person’s detriment or damage their wellbeing and safety. Maturity or not people are responsible for their own behaviour one can forgive all one wants it doesn’t mean hurting others is ok or should be given grace or forgiveness. Forgiveness is for oneself and for the pain one is experiencing and the love one may still have for those that cause hurt it doesn’t mean they are safe people and should be granted access and forgiveness and grace to cause more harm to others . Sometimes self preservation is the best form of self care and forgiveness & love for oneself and their peace .
