Hey everyone so, I’d just like to come on here and talk about how I feel. To save a whole lot of backstory I’ll start by saying I moved in with my step mum again, which I regret because I knew how it would be here from the first time. I moved back here again as an impulsive decision and like before I’m treated like a personal house maid. I sleep on the couch and pay 300 In rent, I’m made to feed two pets that aren’t mine, I do the dishes daily, I’m constantly called by my step mum and step sister to clean up their messes so I’m really feeling like Cinderella here, if I ignore them or don’t do something for one day I get ripped into and sometimes get called rude things.
I’m trying my best to look for places to rent but it’s a little expensive and I don’t have my own car to go to house viewings, its so exhausting to live here and having to do everything for them, all I can do is cry and you guys are the only ones I thought of to talk too but maybe this was my own fault, I knew what it was like here and I decided to move back
please let me know what you guys think, sometimes I think I may be overreacting because I’m used to doing things for myself and not for other people

hello and welcome.
It sounds like you're in a really tough situation right now, and I completely understand why you'd want to vent. Moving back with your step-mom impulsively and feeling like a housemaid instead of a resident must be incredibly frustrating.
You deserve to feel respected and have your own space, not to constantly be cleaning up after others. It's totally understandable that finding a place and arranging viewings without a car adds another layer of difficulty. And the fact that you're actively looking for a new place shows incredible strength.
I have a couple of thoughts or suggestions...
1. Do you have any other family or friends that you could move in with?
2. Have you considered talking to your step-mom about how you're feeling? I can imagine this would be a difficult conversation, but also ... expressing your needs could lead to a better situation.
Most importantly, please don't blame yourself for the situation - you deserve a living environment that feels fair and respectful.
Listening...

Hello thank you so much for responding
i have decided to leave that household after posting this thread, my step mum is quite difficult to communicate with and often makes the situation about herself, the day that I left i received rude messages from her and it’s heartbreaking though I now have her blocked
my dad is helping me look for places to rent on Facebook and I took a look at a room today (there isn’t any room for me where he is staying), I’m praying that I get it! Thank you again for the advice I deeply appreciate it and I hope you are well

hi I'm really sorry your mum.is not appreciative of your care. And appears abusive due to her own problems.
May I suggest you attend to.your education so you have the skills to get out. Also set healthy boundaries with your mother. Your health is paramount. Look after your nutrition and walks are a good way of airing off your head. Swimming too. Look at it as a short term solution staying with your mum. Rentals are very hard to get in this current climate. Confide in.your dad.
Don't react to the abuse from your mum it will make it worse. Tafe have some free courses at the moment. Some rural positions have accommodation.
Take care. J.

It's great that your dad is supporting you in finding a new place, and I'm hoping along with you that the room you looked at today works out. Thank you for sharing, and please know that you more than welcome to write what is on your mind here - we are all here for each other.
